Agreement launches Internet based inventory management and regulatory compliance service for fuel distribution

SAN DIEGO, CALIF. - August 15, 2000

e-Monitoring Networks, Inc. of San Diego, California announced today the signing of a new commercial fuel management service contract with SKS, Inc., of Escondido, California. The agreement calls for the rollout of wireless and wireline monitoring of SKS's commercial petroleum tanks including underground and above ground tanks for gasoline, diesel fuel, lube oil and other petroleum products. This first of a kind fuel management and environmental compliance monitoring service will enable SKS to access real-time fuel inventories and perform certain environmental monitoring functions using the Internet and web-based application software.

The initial phase of the contract calls for monitoring twelve SKS Pacific Pride commercial fueling locations in Southern California plus several lubricant storage tanks at SKS's Anahiem distribution center. "We have been working with SKS for several months in beta test of this new Internet based service. With this initial contract our company is launching an innovative and low-cost commercial service that we feel will significantly lower day-to-day operating costs for SKS and other petroleum marketers and distributors," said Ed Schmidt, President of e-Monitoring Networks.
